Welcome to tshughes.com, currently used by Terry Hughes to post information about topics of interest to him. Terry has an interest in local history, particularly motion picture history and the history of the American Civil War. He is also interested in video production and photography. All of these interests and more merge in this website.

Movie Houses of Evansville's Past looks at motion picture theaters that existed in Evansville, Indiana from the beginning of motion pictures through film's golden age. The Motion Pictures Magazine section is related to films of Hollywood's golden age, roughly through 1969, the end of the Motion Picture Association of America's older code restrictions.

Feel the History (FtH) is a class Terry created in partnership with Jon Carl at FJ Reitz High School in Evansville, IN. Students in FtH created local history documentaries for WNIN, the local public television station. Since Hughes' retirement, Carl has been having students do videos for Youtube, and he has constructed several local history architectural tours.

Terry is also on the Board of Directors of the Vanderburgh County Historical Society, and, at present (February 2022), is the Society's president.

The photo in the banner is from Perryville, Kentucky in the fall of 2006.
